CASA Aviation Medical Check List

Aviation Medical Examinations are available Monday through to Thursday and can be provided as late as 6pm on a Thursday night depending on availability.

ECG +/- audio-gram if required can be performed at the same time.

Routine blood tests for cholesterol and glucose are required for Class 1 (Commercial) and Class 3 (Air Traffic Controller) on initial application and for renewals when age 25 and every 5 years thereafter i.e. age 30, 35, 40, 45 etc. Age is as on day of examination. The online MRS system will tell you which tests are required. If you need a blood test call us to obtain a blood test form and get the blood test done several days prior to your booked medical.

All applicants are required to complete and submit an on-line questionnaire via the CASA MRS system prior to attending for their medical. Please ensure you tick the final tick box in the MRS and click on submit to ensure completion.

Checklist:

  1. When making your appointment please provide your ARN number and the class of certificate sought ie Class 1, 2, or 3.

  2. Confirm date of birth and for Class 1 and 3 only if age 25, 30, 35 etc please request blood test form (see above). This needs to be done prior to the day of examination.

  3. Photo ID

  4. Spectacles (including standby pair) if required

  5. Any medical reports requested by CASA after your previous medical

  6. Current CASA issued medical certificate

  7. Completed the online questionnaire on the CASA website prior to presenting for your examination.
